NBA: Dallas 111, New Orleans 98

DALLAS, April 16 (UPI) -- Jason Terry's 30 points with five assists Wednesday lifted Dallas to a 111-98 victory over the New Orleans Hornets.

Dallas rallied back from deficits of 50-48 at halftime and 70-59 with 6:13 left in the third period.

Jason Kidd, in his best performance since Dallas acquired him in a deal before the NBA trade deadline, recorded a triple-double with 27 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds. It was the 14-year veteran's 100th career triple-double.

Josh Howard scored 19 points, while Brandon Bass added 12 with 13 rebounds, and Dirk Nowitzki had 12 with five rebounds and three assists for the Mavericks, who secured the seventh seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

New Orleans got 26 points and eight rebounds from David West, and Chris Paul scored 20 with 10 assists.

Peja Stojakovic had 17 points and eight rebounds, while Bonzi Wells added 16 points.

The team's meet again in the first round of the playoffs where New Orleans is the West's No. 2 seed.
