DENVER, April 15 (UPI) -- Pierre-Marc Bouchard scored in overtime Monday to give Minnesota a 3-2 victory and a 2-1 lead over Colorado in their Western Conference quarterfinal series.
Bouchard scored off a feed from Brian Rolston at 11:58 of the extra period to seal the victory for the Wild. Brian Rolston and Mikko Koivu scored in regulation for Minnesota.
Niklas Backstrom stopped 44 shots for the Wild.
Joe Sakic had a goal and an assist, Andrew Brunette scored and Jose Theodore made 36 stop for the in the Avalanche, who will try to even the series in Game 4 Wednesday night in Denver.
