Vince Carter had 18 points, eight assists and six rebounds for the Nets, who won for just the third time in nine games. Devin Harris added 17 points and eight assists.

Jason Richardson had 31 points and 10 rebounds for the Bobcats. Nazr Mohammed added 19 points, while Raymond Felton had 18 points and eight assists, and Emeka Okafor pulled down 15 rebounds.

Carter, Harris and Jefferson each made three-pointers in the overtime and the Nets nailed down the win at the foul line.
