DETROIT, April 15 (UPI) -- Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning Tuesday, lifting the Detroit Tigers to a 6-5 come-from-behind victory over the Minnesota Twins.
The Tigers, trailing 4-3 in the eighth, scored three times in the inning to take a 6-4 lead. With two outs and a runner on third, Magglio Ordonez doubled and scored on Cabrera's home run. Todd Jones allowed a run in the ninth, but got his third save of the season.
It was the Tigers' second straight comeback. They beat the Twins 11-9 Monday after trailing 5-0 and 9-4.
Nate Robertson allowed four runs on six hits with a walk and five strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.The comeback made a winner of Clay Rapada (1-0), who retired the last two batters in the eighth.
Ordonez, Gary Sheffield and Carlos Guillen each hit solo home runs for the Tigers.
The Twins' Jesse Crain (0-1) took the loss, giving up three runs on two hits in the eighth.
