NHL: Nashville 5, Detroit 3

NASHVILLE, April 14 (UPI) -- Ryan Suter and Jason Arnott scored nine seconds apart in the third period Monday to lead Nashville past Detroit 5-3 in Game 3 of their Western quarterfinal.

Alexander Radulov and Suter each had a goal and an assist and David Legwand and Martin Erat each scored for the Predators, who trail the Red Wings 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.

Dan Ellis had 23 saves.

Jiri Hudler had a goal and an assist and Dominik Hasek was charged with four goals on 28 shots for the Red Wings. Kris Draper and Pavel Datsyuk also scored in the loss.

Game 4 is set for Wednesday in Nashville.
