Johnny Tapia, boxing champ, dead at 45

SEATTLE, April 13 (UPI) -- Raul Ibanez drove in three runs Saturday, two of them with a homer, guiding the Seattle Mariners past the Los Angeles Angels 8-3.
Jose Vidro and Richie Sexson had two RBI each in the Mariners' fourth win in five games.
Carlos Silva (2-0) gave up 11 hits and all three runs over eight innings, but was supported by a 15-hit attack.
Jon Garland (1-2) coughed up six runs on 12 hits in five-plus innings.
Los Angeles had a 3-2 lead going into the bottom of the fifth, when the Mariners moved in front on a two-run homer by Sexson. The home run from Ibanez, his fifth of the season, came in the eighth.
