FOXBOROUGH, Mass., April 12 (UPI) -- A goal in the 68th minute by Nick LaBrocca Saturday gave the Colorado Rapids a 1-0 win over New England in a game played in a heavy rain.

Colorado has played three games and LaBrocca became the seventh player on the team to score.

Bouna Coundoul recorded his second shutout of the season and the Rapids (2-1) took over first place in the Western Conference. New England fell to 2-2.

The goal came off a free kick taken near the corner by Jose Burciaga. The kick sailed to the far post, where LaBrocca jumped higher than his defenders to put a header past Matt Reis.
