ARLINGTON, Texas, April 10 (UPI) -- Ian Kinsler drove in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning Thursday and the Texas Rangers completed a doubleheader sweep by defeating Baltimore 5-4.

The Rangers won the opener 3-1 and moved a game above .500 for the first time this season.

Baltimore rallied from a three-run deficit in the second game and tied it in the eighth. But with Chad Bradford (0-1) on the mound for the Orioles in the bottom half of the inning, Ben Broussard, Adam Melhuse and Kinsler produced consecutive singles to create the winning run.

That made a winner out of Jamey Wright (1-0), who allowed a run on two hits over 2 1/3 innings of relief. C.J. Wilson needed to throw only eight pitches in a perfect ninth inning to pick up his third save.

Michael Young homered in the first for Texas and Milton Bradley had a two-run double during a three-run third.

Jay Payton helped rally the Orioles with a two-run homer in the sixth. Baltimore had lost just once this season prior to the doubleheader.
