NBA: Denver 117, Los Angeles Clippers 99

LOS ANGELES, April 9 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony's 36 points Tuesday led the Denver Nuggets to a 117-99 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Allen Iverson contributed 21 points as the Nuggets broke a two-game losing streak and stayed tied for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The Clippers, who lost for the three straight game, were led by Cuttino Mobley, who scored 25. Elton Brand added 17. The Clippers were without Corey Maggette and Chris Kaman.

The Nuggets broke the game open late in the second period, going on a 17-4 tear that gave them a 63-47 halftime lead. They were up 91-74 going into the final quarter.
