CLEVELAND, April 9 (UPI) -- LeBron James rallied Cleveland from a 14-point, third-quarter deficit Wednesday, scoring 33 points to give Cleveland a 104-83 decision over New Jersey.
James sat out practice sessions for two days this week because of a sore back, but showed plenty of stamina Wednesday by delivering 21 of his points in the second half. Cleveland bridged the third and fourth quarters with a 22-3 run.
Wally Szczerbiak added 14 points and Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 13. Cleveland halted a two-game skid and stayed two games in front of Washington for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
New Jersey had defeated Cleveland in their other three meetings this season.
The Nets got 19 points from Vince Carter while losing for the fifth time in six games. New Jersey missed its final 19 shots of the game.
