MLB: St. Louis 5, Houston 3

HOUSTON, April 9 (UPI) -- Troy Glaus hit a two-out, two-run double in the eighth inning Tuesday to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a 5-3 win over the Houston Astros.

The Cardinals had only six hits, but got their sixth win in their last seven games. Anthony Reyes (1-0) gave up one hit and no walks in three innings of relief. Jason Isringhausen pitched a perfect ninth for his fourth save of the season.

Starter Brad Thompson pitched four innings and allowed three runs on five hits. Adam Kennedy and Chris Duncan each had an RBI for St. Louis.

Geoff Geary (0-1) took the loss.

Miguel Tejada drove in two runs for the Astros.
