AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 8 (UPI) -- Wilson Chandler had all of his 19 points and nine rebounds in the first half Tuesday when New York built a big lead en route to a 98-94 win over Detroit.

Jamal Crawford added 16 points, and Zach Randolph and Nate Robinson 11 each for the Knicks, who almost threw away a lead that went as high as 24 points.

Amir Johnson led Detroit with 14 points and eight rebounds in fewer than 25 minutes.

Detroit was without Richard Hamilton and had little to play for after clinching the Eastern Conference's second seed with a win over Miami Sunday. The Pistons had a five-game win streak end.
