ANAHEIM, Calif., April 6 (UPI) -- Anaheim's Ryan Getzlaf scored in the fourth round of a shootout and the Ducks beat Phoenix 3-2 Sunday, ending the regular season.

Anaheim, the defending Stanley Cup champion, will go against the Dallas Stars in the first round of the playoffs.

Getzlaf scored on a backhander with the shootout tied at two goals each, and Anaheim goalie Jonas Hiller then blocked a shot by Daniel Carcillo to preserve the win.

Chris Kunitz and Bobby Ryan scored in regulation and Hiller finished with 32 saves for the Ducks, who won five of their last six games.

Carcillo got both goals for the Coyotes, who will not be in the playoffs.
