
ATLANTA, April 5 (UPI) -- Colby Armstrong scored the game-winner Saturday in a three-goal third period and the Atlanta Thrashers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-1.
The score was tied 1-1 when Armstrong's 13th goal this season put Atlanta ahead for good at 15:51 of the third period.
Bobby Holik, Bryan Little and Jim Slater (empty net) also scored once each. Armstrong added an assist and Kari Lehtonen made 30 saves on 31 shots for the Thrashers, who ended their season with two wins in three games.
Tampa Bay's lone goal came from Mathieu Darche on the power play at 3:50 of the second period.
Mike Smith allowed three goals on 23 shots for the Lightning, who finished the season with five losses in six games and, with 71 points, tied the Los Angeles Kings for the fewest in the league.
