MLB: Philadelphia 8, Cincinnati 4

CINCINNATI, April 5 (UPI) -- Chase Utley had two homers, three RBI and three runs scored Friday night, leading the Philadelphia Phillies past Cincinnati 8-4.

Kyle Kendrick (1-0) gave up four runs on eight hits with two walks in five-plus innings to get the victory.

Pat Burrell homered and Jimmy Rollins scored two runs and drove in one for the Phils.

Losing pitcher Josh Fogg (0-1) went four innings, yielding six runs on five hits and three walks.

Ken Griffey Jr. drove in two runs for the Reds, giving him 1,703 for his career -- and moving him past Reggie Jackson into 16th place on Major League Baseball's all-time RBI list.

Corey Patterson scored one run and drove one in.
