DALLAS, April 4 (UPI) -- The first hat trick of Daniel Carcillo's career Friday lifted the Phoenix Coyotes to a 4-2 victory over Dallas.

Dallas had already set up a first-round playoff meeting with Anaheim, but the loss to Phoenix Friday ensured Anaheim would have home-ice advantage for that series.

Martin Hanzal scored for Phoenix and Mikael Tellqvist stopped 30 shots for the Coyotes, who had lost their previous three games.

Hanzal broke a 2-2 tie in the second period on a breakaway.
