NBA: LA Clippers 102, Seattle 84

SEATTLE, April 3 (UPI) -- Al Thornton scored 21 points Wednesday and Corey Maggette had 20 in sending the Los Angeles Clippers running past Seattle 102-84.

Los Angeles won on the road for just the 10th time this season while handing Seattle its fourth straight setback and its 15th loss in 16 games.

The Clippers' Elton Brand played his first game of the season after injuring his left Achilles tendon during a workout Aug. 3. It was originally announced Brand would return to action Thursday, but he appeared against Seattle and scored 19 points. He averaged 20.5 points a game in 80 contests last season.

Seattle held a one-point lead going into the fourth quarter, but managed only 14 points in the final period while the Clippers pulled away.

The SuperSonics were led by Kevin Durant with 30 points.
