BKB (W): Connecticut 66, Rutgers 56

GREENSBORO, N.C., April 2 (UPI) -- Ketia Swanier scored six straight free throws in the final minute Tuesday to lift Connecticut to a 66-56 win over Rutgers in the NCAA Greensboro Regional final.

The Huskies (36-1) will play Stanford in the Final Four semifinals Sunday in Tampa, Fla.

Swanier finished with 15 points against the Scarlet Knights (27-7), as did Renee Montgomery. Kaili McLaren added 10, while Tina Charles had nine with a team-best 12 rebounds.

Matee Ajavon paced the Knights with a game-high 18 points and four assists, but she shot just 8-of-23 from the floor and committed eight of her team's 16 turnovers. Essence Carson posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards, followed by Kia Vaughn with 11 points.

UConn trailed by 14 points in the first half but came back to trail 32-27 at halftime and got its first lead at 48-46 at the 6:47 mark of the second half on a McLaren layup.
