ST. PAUL, Minn., March 30 (UPI) -- Marian Gaborik's second goal of the game, a tap-in with 1:50 to go in overtime, gave the Minnesota Wild a 3-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche Sunday.

Gaborik's game-winner, which gave him a franchise record with 80 points for a season, came on a pass from Pavol Demitra on a two-on-one break.

Brian Rolston and Gaborik sent the Wild ahead 2-0 with first-period goals.

Jeff Finger and Ruslan Salei scored for Colorado.

The Wild clinched a playoff berth earlier in the day when Detroit beat Nashville 1-0. Minnesota holds a four-point lead over Colorado atop the Northwest Division.
