DETROIT, March 28 (UPI) -- A goal by Brad Boyes 2:43 into overtime Friday lifted the St. Louis Blues past Detroit 4-3.

It was the second goal of the night for Boyes and his 40th of the season. Erik Johnson and Andy McDonald also scored for the Blues and Paul Kariya had three assists to lead the Blues to their third win in 18 games.

Detroit had a four-game winning streak snapped, but the Red Wings remain comfortably in front in the Western Conference. They went into the game with a seven-point lead over second-place San Jose.

Chris Osgood gave up four goals on 21 shots.

Detroit scored twice in a span of less than two minutes late in the third period to draw even.
