COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 27 (UPI) -- Kosta Koufos scored 21 points Wednesday and Ohio State pulled away in the second half to defeat Dayton 74-63 in the NIT quarterfinals.
The Buckeyes (22-13) will travel to New York to take on Mississippi next Tuesday in the semifinals. The other semifinal will send Massachusetts against Florida, winner of the NCAA Tournament each of the last two years.
Jamar Butler added 12 points for Ohio State and Evan Turner had 11.
Dayton (23-11) was led by Brian Roberts with 20 points. The Buckeyes scored 20 points off 16 Dayton turnovers.
