NHL: Minnesota 3, Edmonton 1

ST. PAUL, Minn., March 26 (UPI) -- Branko Radivojevic had a goal and an assist Wednesday, sparking Minnesota to a 3-1 victory over Edmonton.

The Wild won at home for the seventh straight time and regained the lead in the Northwest Division by one point over idle Calgary.

Niklas Backstrom made 32 saves to backstop the win. Sean Hill and Brian Rolston also scored for Minnesota.

Fernando Pisani tallied for Edmonton, which had won its previous two games. The Oilers are 10th in the Western Conference.

Radivojevic scored just 3:01 into the game on a two-on-one break with Marian Gaborik. Hill scored on the power play four minutes later.

Backstrom lost his shutout bid 4:40 into the third period.
