NHL: Tampa Bay 3, Florida 1

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., March 25 (UPI) -- Jeff Halpern had a goal and two assists Tuesday to pace the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 3-1 victory over the Florida Panthers.

Michel Ouellet and Filip Kuba also scored for Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay goalie Karri Ramo made 34 saves while filling in for Mike Smith, who was scratched with a left knee injury.

David Booth had the lone goal and Tomas Vokoun stopped 23 of 25 shots for Florida.

The Panthers remain 10th in the Eastern Conference, five points back of the Boston Bruins with just five games remaining.
