NHL: Colorado 2, Calgary 0

DENVER, March 25 (UPI) -- Jordan Leopold and Milan Hejduk scored Monday, giving the Colorado Avalanche a 2-0 win over the Calgary Flames.

Jose Theodore kicked out 23 save for his third shutout of the season and 26th of his career as Colorado ended a four-game skid.

Colorado center Peter Forsberg returned to action after missing six of Colorado's last 10 games with a groin injury. The Avalanche tied idle Vancouver for the seventh spot in the Western Conference.

Miikka Kiprusoff gave up the two goals on 23 shots before being lifted for Curtis Joseph, who finished with two saves for Calgary.
