NBA: Portland 83, LA Clippers 72

LOS ANGELES, March 23 (UPI) -- Joel Przybilla had 14 points and a career-high 25 rebounds Saturday night to lead the Portland Trail Blazers past the Los Angeles Clippers 83-72.

Brandon Roy finished with 23 points and six assists, and LaMarcus Aldridge had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Blazers, who won for the third time in their last four games.

Corey Maggette led the Clippers with 21 points. Josh Powell had 13 points and 10 boards and Cuttino Mobley scored 11 for LA, which has lost seven straight games.

Portland went up 22-17 in the first quarter and the lead grew to 44-34 by halftime. The Blazers went up 52-36 on Martell Webster's third-period three-pointer, and a three by Roy made it 58-40.

The Clippers showed some fight, putting together a 14-4 run to cut the lead to single digits, but the Blazers were never threatened after that.
