COL BKB: Louisville 78, Oklahoma 48

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., March 23 (UPI) -- Earl Clark's 14 points led a balanced, hot-shooting Louisville attack Sunday in a 78-48 NCAA Tournament rout of Oklahoma.

The second-round victory at Birmingham, Ala., sent the Cardinals into a Sweet 16 game against Tennessee Thursday.

Louisville (26-8) hit 59.3 percent of its field goals. Twenty-five Cardinal points came after Oklahoma turnovers.

Jerry Smith added 12 points, David Padgett had eight and Andre McGee, Edgar Sosa, Juan Palacios and Terrence Williams seven each for Louisville.

David Godbold topped Oklahoma's scoring with 15 points. The Sooners ended their season with a record of 23-12.
