Ogilvy was 14-under through 11 holes for a one-shot lead on Scott. Woods was among a group of three players who were three shots back at Doral when play was suspended.

Woods was the only player at or near the top of the leaderboard who didn't take advantage of favorable scoring conditions ahead of the expected bad weather.

Play was stopped as storms approached the area, despite the decision Friday night to move tee times up in hopes of getting the round in. It began to rain when the final group of Woods, Ogilvy and Scott were lining up their putts on the 11th green.

Third-round play will resume Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. with the final round expected to begin around 11:30.

Connecticut guard tears knee ligament

HARTFORD, Conn., March 22 (UPI) -- University of Connecticut point guard A.J. Price reportedly will need least six months to rehabilitate his injured left knee.

The 6-foot-2 junior from Amityville, N.Y., suffered a torn ligament when he was injured halfway through the first half of Friday's surprising 70-69 overtime loss to San Diego in the first round of the NCAA Tournament's West Region in Tampa, The Hartford Courant reported Saturday.

He returned to the court on crutches late in the contest and sat on the bench with ice on the knee.

Price was the Huskies' leading scorer with an average of 14.5 points per contest. He also averaged 5.8 assists in 33 games.

The unanimous first-team All-Big East selection hopes to be 100 percent by the time the Huskies begin practice for the 2008-09 season in October.

A report by the college Web site, Rivals.com, confirmed the injury through the school Saturday night.

INDIAN WELLS, Calif., March 22 (UPI) -- Unseeded American Mardy Fish and third-seeded Serbian Novak Djokovic advanced Saturday to Sunday's final of the Pacific Life Open at Indian Wells, Calif.

Fish ended Federer's 41-match win streak over American players. Federer had not been beaten by an American since a loss to Andy Roddick in Montreal in August 2003.

Federer, the reigning U.S. Open and Wimbledon champion, owned a 5-0 mark against Fish entering the match. Federer won this event three straight years, from 2004-06.

The other semifinal was a rematch of the final of this event last year, when Nadal claimed the championship. The reigning three-time French Open champion and two-time Wimbledon runner-up Nadal still leads the all-time series between the pair, 6-3.

Djokovic is the reigning Australian Open champion.

Fish and Djokovic will battle Sunday for $550,000. Djokovic won the only previous match between the two, in the 2006 U.S. Open.

Djokovic seeks his ninth career title, Fish is after his third.

The 37-year-old Lopez did not play in 2007 after being waived by the Colorado Rockies during spring training, and signed a minor-league contract with the Braves last off-season in hope of earning a spot as a backup.

He was a career .287 hitter with 260 home runs and 864 RBI in 15 seasons. His best season was 2003 when he hit a career-high 43 homers and 109 RBI.

He struggled in spring training, hitting just .188 with two homers in 32 at-bats.
