NEW YORK, March 21 (UPI) -- The ex-trainer who said he injected baseball's Roger Clemens with steroids passed out while driving and smashed his car into a New York City bus, police said.

Brian McNamee, a diabetic, passed out while driving his 2003 Lexus, which hit a bus in Queens, the New York Post reported. Another car smashed into McNamee's vehicle, the newspaper said.

Police said no one involved in the accident was seriously injured, but the bus driver and five passengers were taken to St. John's Episcopal Hospital for treatment. McNamee's attorney had no immediate information on his client's condition, the report said.

Police said the accident occurred at 12:35 p.m. Thursday.

McNamee recently told a congressional committee he injected Clemens with steroids and human growth hormone.

Clemens, a seven-time Cy Young Award winner has strongly denied McNamee's claim.
