NBA: Cleveland 89, Detroit 73

CLEVELAND, March 19 (UPI) -- A typically big effort from LeBron James Wednesday led Cleveland to an 89-73 victory over Detroit.

Cleveland won for the second time in three games, but the Cavaliers still trail Detroit by 10 1/2 games in the Central Division.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 20 points for Cleveland and Wally Szczerbiak had 10.

Detroit lost for the second time in seven games. Rasheed Wallace paced the Pistons with 16 points and Richard Hamilton had 14.

Cleveland began the final period with a 9-2 run that pushed its lead to 72-59. The Pistons came no closer than eight the rest of the way.
