INDIANAPOLIS, March 17 (UPI) -- Two players for the Indiana Pacers have agreed to perform community service to make up for their role in a bar fight.
Jamaal Tinsley and Marquis Daniels accepted diversion agreements that will have the charges wiped from the records if they complete 32 hours of community service, undergo behavior modification training and stay out of legal trouble for two years, The Indianapolis Star reported Monday.
"We're very happy to go back to playing basketball," James Voyles, Tinsley's attorney, said after the agreement was struck.
The two players were arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct after they allegedly struck a bar manager during a fight in February 2007. Tinsley was also charged with two counts of intimidation after he allegedly threatened other bar employees.
