NEW YORK, March 17 (UPI) -- Washington's Antawn Jamison and Phoenix's Amare Stoudemire were selected the NBA players of the week, the league said Monday.

Jamison claimed the NBA Eastern Conference player of the week and Stoudemire took the Western Conference award for games played March 10-16.

Jamison helped the Wizards to a 3-0 week and above the .500 mark for the first time since Feb. 5. He averaged 25.3 points and 9.7 rebounds a game last week. He had two double-doubles, giving him 37 for the year.

Stoudemire's Suns were also 3-0 last week. He averaged 32 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 blocked shots a game. He had consecutive 30-point, 10-rebound efforts last Thursday and Saturday.

Other nominees for the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week were Philadelphia's Andre Iguodala, Cleveland's LeBron James, Atlanta's Joe Johnson, New Orleans' Chris Paul, Orlando's Rashard Lewis, Houston's Tracy McGrady and Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki.
