Hatcher out for season, Umberger for weeks

Hatcher was injured with 12:07 left in the first period of Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to Boston while blocking a slap shot by Bruins forward Andrew Ference. His right leg was broken just above the ankle and was placed in a cast Saturday. It is possible he might return to play if the Flyers make the postseason.

Umberger was injured during a 7-1 rout at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins Sunday.

The Flyers are in eighth place in the NHL Eastern Conference, one point ahead of Buffalo and two points in front of Washington and Florida.
