NBA: Minnesota 121, Seattle 116

SEATTLE, March 15 (UPI) -- Ryan Gomes helped Minnesota put together a third-quarter outburst Friday and the Timberwolves went on to down Seattle 121-116.

Minnesota won for just the 15th time all season and handed Seattle its seventh straight loss. It was the fifth road victory for the Timberwolves against 26 losses.

Seattle owned a one-point lead midway through the third period, but the Timberwolves went on a 20-5 run to end the quarter.

Gomes scored 23 points and Randy Foye had 21. Seattle was led by Kevin Durant with 24.
