KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 15 (UPI) -- A.J. Abrams scored 24 points Saturday to lead eighth-ranked Texas to a 77-49 rout of Oklahoma in the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament.
D.J. Augustin added 17 points and Damion James 13 points and nine rebounds for Texas (28-5), which advanced to Sunday's title game against the winner of the Texas A&M-Kansas semifinal.
The Longhorns have reached the finals of this tournament in each of the past three years, and five times overall, but never won it.
Blake Griffin had 20 points and 13 rebounds for Oklahoma (22-11).
The score was tied early in the second half, but the Longhorns went on a 14-2 run and continued pulling away.
