NASHVILLE, March 13 (UPI) -- Erik Ersberg stopped 37 of 38 shots Thursday to help Los Angeles win for just the second time in nine games -- a 4-1 decision over Nashville.
The Predators, who opened the evening two points behind Vancouver in the battle for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, lost their third straight.
Alexander Frolov scored twice and Kevin Dallman delivered what proved to be the game-winner at 5:02 of the third period.
Dallman beat Dan Ellis with a slap shot to give the Kings a 2-1 lead. Frolov then deflected a shot from Lubomir Visnovsky past Ellis to make it 3-1 with 9:17 to play. Matt Ellis finished off the scoring with an empty-net goal.
The Kings ended a six-game road losing streak and earned a split of the four-game season series.
