DETROIT, March 11 (UPI) -- Pavel Datsyuk scored the winning goal in the second period Tuesday and Chris Osgood made 19 saves in Detroit's 3-1 victory over Chicago.

Kirk Maltby and Johan Franzen also scored for the Red Wings, who have won four straight. The Red Wings lead the Western Conference and the NHL with 98 points, nine better than second-place Dallas.

Rene Bourque scored and Corey Crawford stopped 44 of 46 shots for Chicago, which has lost three straight. The Blackhawks are seven points back of the eighth and final playoff spot in the West.

The Red Wings are still without forwards Daniel Cleary (broken jaw) and Tomas Holmstrom (groin), but defenseman Chris Chelios returned to the lineup after missing six games with a knee injury.
