NHL: Anaheim 3, Montreal 1

ANAHEIM, Calif., March 9 (UPI) -- Chris Kunitz and Samuel Pahlsson scored within a 33-second span in the third period Sunday, giving the Anaheim Ducks a 3-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens.

Kunitz scored on a pass from Ryan Getzlaf with 7:24 left in the third, and Pahlsson followed quickly with his score on a feed from Scott Niedermayer.

Todd Marchant had sent the Ducks ahead early, scoring just 21 seconds after the game began.

Goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 20 stops for Anaheim, which has won seven of its last nine games.

Alex Kovalev scored for the Canadiens and goalie Carey Price recorded 34 saves.
