COLLEGE STATION, Texas, March 8 (UPI) -- Darrell Arthur had 16 points and nine rebounds Saturday to lead No. 6 Kansas to a 72-55 win over Texas A&M, and at least a share of the Big 12 title.
Mario Chalmers scored 16 points for the Jayhawks (28-3, 13-3 Big 12), who closed the regular season with four straight wins. Texas is at home vs. Oklahoma State Sunday, and a Longhorns' loss will give Kansas sole possession of its fourth straight crown.
Kansas has won at least a share of eight of the 12 Big 12 titles.
Sherron Collins had 13 points and seven assists for Kansas, which led by 10 at halftime.
Donald Sloan and Dominique Kirk each scored 15 points for Texas A&M (22-9, 8-8) which lost five of its last seven games.
