SYRACUSE, Texas, March 8 (UPI) -- Freshmen Jonny Flynn and Donte Greene each scored 21 points Saturday, fueling Syracuse's 87-72 victory over 20th-ranked Marquette.

Flynn also had seven assists and four rebounds for Syracuse (19-12, 9-9 Big East). Paul Harris and Arinze Onuaku each scored 14 points for the Orangemen.

The win was Syracuse's second this season over a ranked team at home. The Orange beat then-No. 8 Georgetown 77-70 Feb. 16.

Jerel McNeal had 22 points for the Golden Eagles (22-8, 11-7), but Wesley Matthews was the only other Marquette player in double figures with 14. The loss was just the second for Marquette in its last eight games.
