LOS ANGELES, March 8 (UPI) -- O.J. Mayo had 25 points and Taj Gibson 20 points and 11 rebounds Saturday to carry Southern Cal to a 77-64 win over seventh-ranked Stanford.

Dwight Lewis added 14 points for the Trojans (20-10, 11-7 Pac-10), who used an early spurt to forge the lead en route to their fifth victory in their last six games.

Kenny Brown scored 19 points and Robin Lopez 16 for Stanford (24-6, 13-5), which suffered its second loss in three days in Los Angeles. The Cardinals had a chance to earn at least a share of the conference's regular-season crown before losing in overtime at second-rand UCLA Thursday.
