LOS ANGELES, March 6 (UPI) -- Al Thornton scored nine points in the second overtime period Wednesday and the Los Angeles Clippers held on to down Sacramento 116-109.
Los Angeles ended a six-game losing streak by rallying from a 17-point deficit early in the third quarter.
Thornton forced the first overtime by hitting a jumper with 13 seconds left in regulation and the Clippers' Josh Powell hit a jump shot with 19 seconds remaining in the first extra period to again tie it.
Thornton then took over in the second overtime and finished with 26. Corey Maggette added 25 and Dan Dickau had 20.
Dickau made a layup with 26 seconds left in the second extra period to give the Clippers a six-point lead.
The Kings, who have dropped six out of seven, were led by Beno Udrih with 25.
