Kearse returns to Tennessee Titans

NASHVILLE, March 6 (UPI) -- Linebacker Jevon Kearse, drafted by Tennessee in 1999, returned to the Titans Thursday after spending four years with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The three-time Pro Bowl selection has recorded 69.5 sacks in 111 career games.

"Jevon is a piece of the puzzle in trying to fill the defensive end need that we have," said Tennessee General Manager Mike Reinfeldt. "Our expectation for him is to rush the passer in a limited number of snaps. He has always been a dynamic edge rusher and we want to put him in those situations."

Kearse was the 16th selection in the 1999 draft and went on to be named the NFL's defensive rookie of the year. He signed with the Eagles as an unrestricted free agent in 2004.
