FOXBORO, Mass., March 5 (UPI) -- The New England Patriots Wednesday have re-signed wide receiver Jabbar Gaffney.
Terms of his deal were not disclosed by the team, but the NFL Network reported that the former University of Florida product inked a one-year, $2 million deal.
His re-signing comes two days after fellow wideout Randy Moss decided to re-sign Monday.
"Jabar is a good fit for our offense," Patriots Coach Bill Belichick said in a statement. "He has been a versatile and dependable player who steps up in whatever role is asked of him."
Gaffney has been with the Patriots the past two seasons after signing as a free agent in October 2006.
In the 2000 NFL draft, he was a first-round pick by the Houston Texans, and last season he scored a career-best five touchdowns with 35 catches for 449 yards.
In 91 career games, Gaffney has scored 13 times with 218 receptions for 2,600 yards.
