Moss signs 3-year deal with Patriots

BOSTON, March 3 (UPI) -- The New England Patriots and Randy Moss have agreed to a new contract that will keep the wide receiver with the team through the 2010 season.

The Boston Globe reported Monday the contract is for three years and $27 million. Moss' agent, Tim DiPiero, said the deal also includes a $12 million signing bonus and $15 million in guarantees.

In his first year with New England, Moss, 31, set an NFL record with 23 touchdown receptions. He finished the season with 98 catches, second-most on the team behind Wes Welker's 112, for 1,493 yards.

Moss spent his first seven NFL seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, and then played two years with Oakland before joining the Patriots for the 2007 campaign.
