ZWIESEL, Germany, March 2 (UPI) -- American Lindsey Vonn kept her 54-point lead for the World Cup women's overall title Sunday after high winds forced cancellation of a slalom run in Germany.

A giant slalom also was called off earlier in the weekend. With just two weeks left in the World Cup season, the races will not be rescheduled.

"We got up there and it was so windy," Vonn said. "The gondola was swinging back and forth so we just sat in the lodge through the postponements until they called it."

Vonn, of Vail. Colo., leads Austrian Nicole Hosp 1,103 to 1,049 for the overall cup title. The American skier has already clinched the downhill title with four wins this season.
