SINGAPORE, March 2 (UPI) -- World No. 1 Lorena Ochoa's 4-under-par 68 on a rain-soaked course in Singapore Sunday gave her an 11-shot victory in the HSBC Champions tournament.
Ochoa collected $300,000 after finishing at 20-under 268 for her 18th win on the LPGA Tour.
Former No. 1 Annika Sorenstam closed with a 1-under 71 for second-place. Sorenstam has a win and two runner-up finishes this season.
"I knew I could do it," said Ochoa, who led by eight strokes entering the final found at the Tanah Merah Country Club course.
Heavy rain halted play twice, the first time for an hour, and later in the round for more than an hour.
Paula Creamer, who had been tied with Sorenstam for second going into the final 18 holes, slipped to a 1-over 73 and placed third, 13 strokes behind Ochoa.
