SINGAPORE, March 2 (UPI) -- Lorena Ochoa's 3-under-par 69 Saturday extended her lead to eight strokes at the LPGA's Women's Champions golf tournament in Singapore.

Her total after 54 holes is 16-under 200.

"I'm going to try to win even by more," Ochoa said while on the verge of her 18th LPGA Tour win. "I think it's always important that you try hard so tomorrow I'm going to try hard to make more birdies."

Ochoa won eight times in 2007, including her first major at the Women's British Open. She won six tournaments in 2006.

She is making her 2008 LPGA Tour debut and started the third round with a seven-stroke cushion.

Paula Creamer (70) and Annika Sorenstam (70) share second place at 8-under 208.

Karrie Webb (70) is alone in fourth at 7-under 209.
