LOS ANGELES, March 2 (UPI) -- Tayshaun Prince had 22 points and 10 rebounds Saturday night and the Detroit Pistons beat the Los Angeles Clippers 103-73.
Rasheed Wallace had 17 points and six rebounds, and Richard Hamilton and Juan Dixon scored 14 points apiece for the Pistons, who won for the fourth time in their last five games -- and for the 11th straight time against the Clippers.
Chauncey Billups did not play. He flew to Detroit Thursday for a personal matter that the Pistons have not disclosed, and there has been no word on when he will rejoin the team.
Corey Maggette led the Clippers in scoring with 22 points. Chris Kaman had 13 points and 14 rebounds for LA, which has lost five straight games and extended a losing streak against the Pistons that dates back to Nov. 3, 2002.
The Pistons jumped out to an early lead but the Clippers pulled to within one early in the second quarter. Detroit responded with a 17-3 run and was never seriously challenged the rest of the way.
LA managed just 17 points in the second quarter and 10 in the fourth.
