DEHLI, India, March 1 (UPI) -- Japan's Taichiro Kiyota forged a one-stroke lead Saturday through 54 holes at the European Tour's Johnnie Walker Classic in Dehli, India.

In carding a 5-under-par 67 in the third round, the 27-year-old Asian Tour regular compiled four birdies, an eagle and just one bogey for a tourney total of 14-under 202.

It is his first-ever overnight lead in a European Tour tournament.

His biggest birdie came at the 18th, which eased him ahead of India's Jyoti Randhawa (68) and New Zealand's Mark Brown (64).

"My second shot to the 18th, I had too long a club," Kiyota said. "It was a miracle chip and I need another miracle tomorrow to win it."

Australian Greg Chalmers (68) and Englishmen Phillip Archer (69) and Graeme Storm (69) all are tied for fourth at 11-under 205.

Heading into Sunday's final 18 holes, there are 10 players within five shots of Kiyota's lead.
