COL BKB: N. Carolina 90, Boston College 80

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass., March 1 (UPI) -- Tyler Hansbrough had 25 points Saturday when second-ranked North Carolina overcame a 46-point barrage by Tyrese Rice to beat Boston College, 90-80.

Wayne Ellington added 20 points and Danny Green 18 for the Tar Heels (27-2, 12-2 ACC). It was North Carolina's sixth straight win and could return the Tar Heels to the top of the polls, since No. 1 Tennessee's loss at Vanderbilt earlier in the week.
